What is gochar?
Gochar (गोचर) means the current movement of planets through the sidereal zodiac. Your birth chart is fixed at birth; gochar is the live sky.

What is panchanga?
Panchanga (पञ्चाङ्ग) means “five limbs.” It is the traditional Vedic day description:
- Tithi — lunar day (and Shukla / Krishna paksha)
- Vara — weekday
- Nakshatra — the Moon’s lunar mansion (and pada)
- Yoga — a Sun–Moon combination
- Karana — half of a tithi
